Ab.Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 15-11, 14-17, 19-13. For Utd. ‘A’ B.Spicer 11, B.Duff & T.Ward 10 each, L.Clapton 9 & G.Brown 8. In reply for Utd. ‘C’ A.Gregory & S.Martin 10 each, D.Harris 8 & K Souch 7.

Old Masters beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 13-9, 17-8, 17-10. For OM T.Downes 13, G.Barguss 12, A.Woolloff 11 & J.Barguss 8. For Penlon T.Lach top scored with 9 dolls.

In a closer game than the scoreline suggests Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Ab.Legion 6-0. The leg scores were 14-11, 12-11, 13-12. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Holmes 10, D.Davies & I.Morrison 8 each & B.Clapton 7. For The Legion P.Ealey 11, D.Sapey 8 & B.Lacey 7.

In a turn up for the books Ab. Con. Club inflicted the first 6-0 defeat of the season on College Oak. The leg scores were 13-8, 11-10, 12-11. For The Con. Club J.Simms 10 (his first double figures of the season), T.Barrett 8, J.Castle & R.North 7 each. For The Oak D.Cross top scored with 9 dolls. Oaks 29 dolls was their lowest total of the season so far.

Spread Eagle beat The Fox (thanks guys) 4-2 with leg scores of 13-10, 12-10, 13-15. For The Spread J.Bowler 11 & ‘Gary’ ? Mott 10. For The Fox M.Sheridan (double figures in all 9 matches) 11, D.Butler 9 & M.Rusher 7. Won’t say to much about P.Stones 2 dolls as he is doing a great job with the website. www.abingdonauntsally.com for those of you living in Outer Mongolia for the last few years. B.Parker was absent, presumed innebriated.

Ab. Legion beat Ab. Con. Club 6-0 with leg scores of 9-6, 16-7, 11-9. For The Legion D.Sapey 11, P.Ealey 9, B.Lacey & N.Hazell 7 each. In reply for The Con. Club J.Simms top scored with 8 dolls. J.Castle throwing like an arthritic Albanian blacksmith managed just 1 doll. But it made O.Gill look good – he got 2. The Con. Clubs 22 dolls equalled their lowest total of last week.

College Oak drew 3-3 with Ab. Utd. ‘C’ with leg scores of 13-13, 13-15, 14-7. For The Oak A.Pocock 11, D.Cross 9, F.Trcaey & S.Enock 7 each. For Utd. ‘C’ A.Gregory 9, S.Martin included a 6 in his 9 & D.Harris 7.

Old Masters were a little fortunate to beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 4-2 with leg scores of 16-13, 11-12, 16-13. For OM the returning ‘Prodigal Son’, J.Barguss top scored with 12, A.Woolloff 11, G.Barguss & M.Hall 7 each. For Utd. ‘A’ L.Clapton 10, B.Duff 9, B.Spicer 8 & G.Brown 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat 4 man Fox 6-0 with leg scores of 14-10, 14-11, 18-15. For Utd. ‘B’ I.Morrison 12, B.Clapton 10, D.Holmes& D.Davies 9 each. For The Fox the evergreen M.Sheridan top scored with 13 dolls. D.Butler hit 10 & B.Parker 9. Utd. ‘B’s 46 dolls was their highest total of the season.

Spread Eagle beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 16-11, 15-3 (yes three), 18-10. For The Spread J.Bowler 12, M.Phillips 11, D.Mott 10, B.Newman & S.Kinnaird 8 each. For Penlon Vic ‘I don’t want to play , I’ve got a bad back’ Smith top scored with 7 dolls. What a trooper !! The Spreads 49 dolls was their highest total of the season while Penlons 24 was their lowest.

p.p.s. I think you will agree that keeping Utd. ‘B’ in the ‘B’ section has given the sections a more balanced look. To the doubters, I don’t want to say I told you so but……….

College Oak inflicted the first defeat of the season on Old Masters. The score was 6-0 and the leg scores were 17-14, 14-13, 18-10. For The Oak F.Tracey & S.Enock 11 each, A.Pocock & D.Cross 10 each & P.Soden 7. For OM A.Woolloff 10, G.Barguss (failing to hit double figures for the first time this season) & T.Downes 9 each. The Oaks 49 dolls was their highest of the season while OM’s 37 was their lowest.

Ab. Legion drew 3-3 with Utd. ‘C’ with leg scores of 16-8, 14-14, 10-13. For The Legion R.Taylor & N.Hazell 10 each, D.Taylor 8 & P.Ealey 7. For Utd. ‘C’ S.Martin & P.Arnold 9 each, A.Gregory & H.Harris 7 each. The Legions 40 dolls was their highest of the season.

Spread Eagle beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 14-8, 11-9, 14-15. For The Spread D.Mott 11, J.Bowler 9 & M.Phillips 8. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Davies included a 6 in his 11 & D.Holmes hit 7.

The Fox used their ‘get out of jail card’ in a 5-1 over Ab. Con. Club. The leg scores were 10-10, 10-5, 23-7. For The Fox B.Parker 12, B.Duff (guesting) included a 6 in his 11 & M.Rusher also recorded a 6 in his 10. For The Con. Club cows a**e and banjo springs to mind. Con. Clubs 22 dolls was their lowest of the season.
