‘B’Section

Game reports.

Penlon easily recorded their highest total of the season (45) to beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2.  The leg scores were 16-10, 15-9, 14-15.  For Penlon D.Bellcourt 11 (his first double figures of the season) , T.Lach 10, E.Jeffries 9, I.Morrison 8 & P.Stone 7.  For Con Club P.Barrett 9, T.Barrett & P.Wiblin 8 each.

Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 5-1 with leg scores of  11-10, 15-10, 15-15.  For Spread ‘B’ B.Stowell hit a cracking 15 dolls, L.Clapton 8 ( failing to hit double figures for the first time) & S.Enock 7.  In reply for Utd.’B’ S.Martin 11, R.Taylor 8 & D.Harris 7 ( his 4th score of  7 on the trot ).

The Heathens hit their highest total of  the season ( 49 ) to inflict a first defeat of  the season on Ab. Utd. ‘A’.  The score was 4-2 and the leg scores were 16-14, 20-15, 13-14.  For The Heathens D.Holmes included a 6 in his 13 dolls & A.Woolloff  also hit 13, T.Bell 10 & J.Ellaway 7.  Apologies for my foul language after failing to convert two 5’s into 6’s but it’s not f****** easy living with Tourettes.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies & B.Parker 12 each & P.Wright 9.

Spread Eagle ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ who ‘couldn’t record a point’ or C.R.A.P. for short.  The leg scores were 10-7, 13-7, 9-5.  For Spread ‘A’ J.Bowler 10 & N.Nuttall 7.  In reply for Utd ‘C’ T.Cartlidge top scored with 6 and their 19 dolls was their lowest so far.  With Penlon winning it leaves Utd. ‘C the only team  without a win.

Old Masters drew 3-3 with Ab.Legion with leg scores of  12-9, 10-13, 13-13.  For OM A.Pocock & M.Neal 10 each.  In reply for The Legion C.Brind 10, P.Ealey & N.Hazell 7 each.

Game reports.

Spread Eagle ‘B’ recorded their highest total of  the season (53) in beating Old Masters 6-0 who in return recorded their lowest total so far (22).  The leg scores were 17-7, 16-6, 20-9.  For Spread ‘B’ N.Weston included a 6 in his 14, B.Stowell also had a 6 in his 13, L.Clapton hit 12 and is now the only player to hit double figures in the first 5 games.  S.Enock weighed in with 10.  In reply for OM M.Beachey top scored with 7 dolls.

Ab. Legion beat Spread Eagle ‘A’ 4-2 with leg scores of 13-10, 10-13, 13-9.  For The Legion C.Brind 10, S.Champ, P.Ealey & N.Hazell 7 each.  For Spread ‘A’ N.Nuttall & J.Bowler 9 each.

A close game saw 4 man Con. Club draw 3-3 with Ab. Utd. ‘C’.  The Con. Clubs 28 dolls was their lowest total so far.  The leg scores were 10-9, 9-9, 9-11.  For Con. Club T.Barrett 8, P.Wiblin & B.Clapton 7 each.  For Utd. ‘C’ M.James 8 & P.Ashmall 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’s lowest total of the season (40) was enough to earn them their 4th 6-0 in 5 games.  Their victims were Ab. Utd. ‘B’ and their 28 dolls was their lowest total.  The leg scores were 17-11, 10-8, 13-9.  For Utd. ‘A’ B.Parker 13, D.Davies 11, B.Duff included a 6 in his 10.  In reply for Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10, K.Souch & R.Taylor 7 each.  N.Green managed just 1 doll – keep at it girl.

Penlon embarrassed The Heathens by holding them to a 3-3 draw and The Heathens 36 dolls was their lowest total so far.  The leg scores were 15-15, 11-9, 6-12.  For Penlon T.Lach 9 & D.Bellcourt 7.  For The Heathens D.Holmes 10, T.Bell 9, J.Ellaway 8 & D.Butler 7.  I’m saying nothing more Brian !

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 15-10, 19-11, 16-11.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies 13, P.Wright 12, D.Dix 9, K.Fisher & B.Parker 8 each.  For Penlon, whose 32 doll’s was their highest total so far, T.Lach 8, E.Jeffries & D.Bellcourt 7 each.

The Heathens beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 5-1 with leg scores of 12-8, 17-5, 12-12.  For The Heathens D.Butler included a 6 in his 13, A.Woolloff  8, T.Bell & T.Downes 7 each.  For Utd. ‘C’ T.Harrhy & J.Bussey 6 each.  Joe scored with his last stick in the 3rd leg to secure a draw and p*** on The Heathens chips.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ recorded their highest total (39) to record a 4-2 win over Old Masters whose 32 was their lowest total.  The leg scores were 15-10, 11-16, 13-6.  For Utd. ‘B’ Roy ‘The Pope’ Taylor hit a 6 in his 12  (would have put money on Gary Glitter getting a knighthood first).  S.Martin hit 10 & D.Harris 7.  In reply for OM  M.Neal & J.Lesiakowski 8 each.

Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Legion 4-2 despite Legion recording their highest total of 39.  The leg scores were 10-9, 7-18, 15-12.  For Con.Club P.Barrett included a 6 in his 10 & T.Barrett included a blob in his 9.  P.Wiblin hit 2 scoring with his 17th & 18th sticks.  For The Legion C.Brind 10, N.Hazell 9, S.Champ & P.Ealey 7 each.

Spread Eagle ‘B’s highest total of the season (41) saw off Spread ‘A’ 5-1.  The leg scores were12-12, 12-5, 17-13.  For Spread ‘B’ N.Weston 13, L.Clapton 10, R.Nicholls 8 & S.Enock 7.  In reply for Spread ‘A’ J.Bowler 9, S.Humhries included a blob in his 7 & S.Kinnaird also hit 7.  A.Humphries recorded 1 doll for the 2nd week running – keep at it mate.

p.s.  After a great deal of deliberation Brian and myself decided to keep to what was voted for a few years back which was a strict 1 up, 1 down. Could have put a much changed Spread ‘A’ into the ‘B’ section but felt it was not fair to put another ‘B’ section side into the ‘A’.  If anyone has any thoughts on the league formation you can jot them down on a sheet of paper and shove it where the sun don’t shine. Lol.

A (s)crappy game saw The Heathens beat the late arriving Ab. Legion 6-0.  The leg scores were 10-9, 12-11, 16-12.  For The Heathens B.Adams included a 6 in his 12 & A.Woolloff  9.  In reply for The Legion B.Lacey  8 & C.Brind 7.

A close game saw Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 4-2 with leg scores of  10-9, 11-9, 11-13.  For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 9 & D.Harris 7 (wasn’t it a shock about his Uncle Rolf).  For Penlon T.Lach 9 & Terry ‘Pollyfilla’ Phipps hit 7.

Ab. Con. Club beat Spread Eagle ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 8-12, 12-10, 13-12.  For Con. Club ‘The Barrett Boys’ 10 each, Brian ‘Cracker’ Clapton 9.  P.Wiblin managed just 1 doll.  Have you tried standing with your back to the doll and throwing the sticks betwwen your legs – might be worth a try mate.  For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton 11, C.Crawford had a blob in his 9 & S.Enock 7.

Old Masters beat Spread Eagle ‘A’ 6-0 with leg scores of 10-9, 13-9, 16-10.  For OM S.Skelly included a 6 in his 11, M.Beachey & J.Lesiakowski 9 each.  In reply for Spread ‘A’ S.Humphries 11 & J.Bowler 9.  Alan Humphries throwing more like Barry Humphries managed just 1 doll .

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 18-5, 20-9, 15-7.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Dix 13, K.Fisher 12 B.Parker included a 6 in his 11, D.Davies 10 & T.Ward 7.  For  Utd. ‘C’ the less said the better as Matt Ashmall, the original ‘Mr. Blobby’ managed just 1 doll.

Spread Eagle ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 12-11, 10-9, 10-15.  For Spread ‘A’ S.Humphries 11 & J.Bowler 8. In reply for Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin & N.Green 8 each, K.Souch & D.Harris 7 each.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’s win over Ab. Legion was closer than the 5-1 scoreline suggested.  The leg scores were 15-15, 13-10, 13-12.  For Utd. ‘A’ B.Parker 13 & D.Dix 11.  For The Legion C.Brind top scored with 11 and when needing 5 to draw the last leg just missed with his last stick to do so.

Old Masters beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2 with leg scores of 10-9, 15-8, 10-13.  For Old Masters ‘new boy’ S.Skelly top scored with 9, A.Pocock & M.Beachey 7 each.  For Con. Club P.Barrett 9 & B.Clapton 7.

Penlon drew 3-3 with Ab. Utd. ‘C’ with leg scores of 8-8, 13-7, 6-8.  For Penlon T.Lach & P.Stone 8 each & D.Bellcourt 7. For Utd. ‘C’ D.Warrell top scored with 7 dolls.

Spread Eagle ‘B’ came from behind to beat The Heathens 4-2 with leg scores of  6-16, 14-13, 15-13.  For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton 10, B.Stowell & S.Enock 8 each. For The Heathens B.Adams 11, D.Butler 9, D.Holmes 8, T.Bell & A.Woolloff 7 each.

Ab. Legion and Ab. Utd. ‘C’ kicked off the new season with The Legion running out 5-1 winners.  The leg scores were 8-7, 13-10, 8-8.  For The Legion C.Brind 9 and S.Champ 8. N.Hazell had the dubious honour of being the first blobber of the season.  For Utd. ‘C’ T.Cartlidge top scored with 8 dolls.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Old Masters 6-0 with leg scores of 19-12, 19-11, 19-11.  For Utd. ‘A’ B.Parker included a 6 in his 15, D.Dix 14, D.Davies 12, P.Wright & K.Fisher 7 each.  In reply J.Lesiakowski 9, A.Pocock & M.Neal 8 each.

The Heathens beat Spread Eagle ‘A’ 4-2 with leg scores of 18-13, 9-12, 18-15.  For The Heathens  B.Adams 11, D.Holmes 10, D.Butler and A.Woolloff 9 each.  For Spread ‘A’ J.Bowler 10, S.Humphries & N.Nuttall 8 each, S.Kinnaird & B.Newman 7 each.

Penlon drew 3-3 with Spread Eagle ‘B’.  The leg scores were 10-8, 12-12,9-17.  For Penlon T.Lach included a 6 in his 12 & D.Bellcourt 7 and if you are wondering , yes T.Phipps did hit the ceiling.  For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton 10, S.Enock 9 & D.Cross 8.

Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 5-1 with leg scores of 14-12, 12-8, 8-8.  For Con. Club B.Clapton top scored with 12, T.Barrett 10 & P.Barrett 8. For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin top scored with 11 dolls.
