Game reports.

Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 16-7, 14-9, 22-11.  For Spread ‘B’ S.Enock included a 6 in his 13, B.Stowell also recorded a 6 in his 12, N.Weston also hit 12 and L.Clapton 11.  In reply for Utd. ‘C’ M.Ashmall & M.James 7 each.

Penlon beat 4 man Old Masters 5-1 with leg scores of  8-8, 13-6, 13-8.  For Penlon D.Bellcourt 10, T.Lach 8 & I.Morrison 7.  In reply for OM S.Skelly top scored with 8 dolls. Little did he know what was coming next.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Spread Eagle ‘A’ 6-0 in an interrupted match.  The leg scores were 15-9,19-7, 21-5.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies 14, D.Dix 13, B.Duff & B.Parker 10 each and T.Ward 8.  For a shocked Spread ‘A’ B.Newman top scored with 6 and their 22 dolls was their lowest of the season.  The match saw S.Skelley (sticking up) just escape serious injury and N.Nuttall throw his last ever sticks in the winter league.

The Heathens came from behind to beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2 with leg scores of  12-13, 15-11, 15-12.  For The Heathens T.Bell 10, A.Woolloff  9, D.Holmes & J.Ellaway 8 each and D.Butler 7.  For Con Club T.Barrett 9, B.Clapton 8, R.North & P.Barrett 7 each.  Their 36 dolls was their highest total so far.

Ab. Legion beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of  12-7, 7-15, 18-14.  For The Legion S.Champ 10, N.Hazell & D.Sapey 8 each and B.Lacey 7.  For Utd. ‘B’ K.Souch 10, S.Martin & D.Taylor 7 each. D.Harris was again in 7th heaven scoring 7 for the 6th time on the trot.  (I’m sure he’s doing it on purpose).

Game reports.

The Heathens’ lowest total of the season (35) was just enough to see off Ab. Utd. ‘B’.  The score was 4-2 with leg scores of 14-12, 9-11, 12-9.  For The Heathens D.Butler 9, D.Holmes 8 and B.Adams included a blob in his 7.  For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10, K.Souch, R.Taylor & D.Harris all scored 7, Daves’ 5th on the trot.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ overwhelmed Ab. Con. Club 6-0 with leg scores of  21-7, 16-11, 22-15.  For Utd. ‘A’ Dave ‘The Six’ Dix hit 2 sixes in his 16 dolls and B.Parker also included a 6 in his 15, P.Wright & D.Davies 10 each.  B.Duff was s***, he only got 8.  For Con. Club T.Barrett 10, B.Clapton & P.Barrett 8 each.  M.Haynes playing his 1st game of the season managed a ‘Nelson’, that’s 1-1-1.  

A very close game saw Ab. Utd. ‘C’ win their 1st game of the season. Well done boys.  They beat Old Masters 4-2 with leg scores of  9-6, 6-9, 12-11. For Utd. ‘C’ T.Harrhy 8 and Jon Warrell 7.  For OM A.Pocock & M.Neal 7 each.

Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Ab. Legion 6-0 with leg scores of 13-12, 12-9, 16-11.  For Spread ‘B’ B.Stowell included a 6 in his 11, N.Weston also hit 11, S.Enock & L.Clapton hit 7 each.  In reply for The Legion C.Brind 9, ‘The Scarlet Pimpernell’ a.k.a. Dave Sapey managed 8 and B.Lacey hit 7.

Spread Eagle ‘A’ beat The Penlon 5-1 with leg scores of 11-11, 14-12, 12-9.   For Spread ‘A’ S.Humphries 10, N.Nuttall & J.Bowler 9 each.  In reply for Penlon T.Lach & E.Jeffries 8 each And I.Morrison 7.
