Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 15-9, 14-10, 17-10. A good all round performance from Utd. ‘B’ saw I.Morrison top score with 12 dolls. ‘Dickie’ Davies hit 10, D.Holmes 9, D.Bowler 8 & B.Clapton 7. In reply for Penlon T.Lach 8, R.Holmes & E.Jeffries 7 each. College Oak beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 6-0 with leg scores of 16-4, 14-7, 16-7. For The Oak L.Clapton 12, A.Pocock 11, P.Soden 9, C.Crawford & S.Enock 7 each. For Utd. ‘A’ M.Fenton top scored with 6 dolls. If you are short of players any week lads, Stevie Wonder is looking for a game. The Fox beat Ab.Con. Club 6-0 and are the only team to have won both of their opening games. The leg scores were 8-13, 14-12, 13-8. For The Fox B.Parker hit 3-5-5, missing with his last stick in both the 2nd and 3rd legs. N.Nuttall hit 8 dolls. For Con. Ab. Legion & College Oak drew 3-3 with leg scores of 12-8,14-14,9-11. For The Legion P.Ealey included the fIrst 6 of the season in his cracking 14 dolls & J.Driver hit 9. In reply for The Oak D.Cross (fearing another adverse write up) hit 11, A.Pocock 8 & P.Soden 7. DJohns, standing in for F.Tracey managed just 1 doll (I shouldn’t have bothered, mate).

A disorganised Old Masters beat Ab. Utd. ‘c’ 5-1 with leg scores of 13-12, 14-14, 14-11. For OM R.Lewis 11, T.Downes & A.Woollof9 each. For Utd ‘c’ A.Gregory 11, K.Souch 9 & S.Martin 8. Thanks to D.Sapey for making a guest appearance due to the late arrival ofG.Barguss (I’m going to get him a b****y watch for Xmas).

After a shaky start Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Con. Club 5-1 with leg scores of 13-13, 14-11, 18-10. For Utd. ‘A’ J.Gapper top scored for the 2nd week running with 11 dolls. B.Spicer & G.Brown 9 each, L.Clapton & B.Carter 8 each. For Con. Club M.Hall ( guesting) 9 & J.Simms 8.

Penlon recorded a rare win when beating Spread Eagle 4-2 with leg scores of 14-9,9-9,9-9. For Penlon T.Lach & M.Jeffries 8 each. For The Spread J.Bowler managed 7 dolls.

A disgruntled Fox (that’s not like them!!!! ) beat Ab.Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-12,20-12, 15-14. For The Fox D.Butler 12, B.Parker 11, G.Chambers 9 & D.Rusher 8. For Utd. ‘B’ P.Milford (the well known typing error) top scored with 12 dolls, D.Davies 9 & B.Clapton 8.
