Committee Statement Regarding Recent Match Incident

The Committee has been informed of an incident that occurred during last week’s match between two teams.

The situation involved a player’s conduct during a call, which was deemed inappropriate and not in keeping with the standards of our league.

We wish to reaffirm the following:

  • The caller’s decision during the match is considered final.
  • The sticker up should help the caller if required. 
  • The player’s reaction significantly impacted gameplay, leading both teams to agree to discontinue the third leg of the match.

Following this incident the committee will be considering the sanction required and the player is suspended from taking part.

The nature of their behaviour—both verbal and physical—fell short of what we expect within our sporting community and any respectful competitive environment.

We remain committed to upholding the integrity and inclusivity of the league for all players and teams.

The Commttee are meeting on Tuesday 7th August to discuss this matter and other business.
