Game reports.

Penlon beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 16-4, 8-6, 11-12. For Penlon T.Lach 9, P.Stone also hit 9 dolls which included his 1st competitive 6 & C.Crawford 8. For Utd. ‘C’ I.Brown 10 & D.Warrell 7. Jon Warrell throwing like a humpty backed coalman managed just 1 doll (another restless night thinking up this twaddle).

The Heathens used their ‘get out of jail card’ to beat Ab. Legion 4-2. The leg scores were 9-14, 13-12, 13-12. For The Heathens M.Sheridan 11 & D.Holmes 7. Their 35 dolls equalled their lowest total so far. For The Legion C.Brind 11, D.Sapey 10 & P.Ealey 8.

Ab. Con. Club drew 3-3 (obviously) with Old Masters with leg scores of 10-12, 15-8, 9-9. For Con. Club ‘The Fabulous Barrett Boys’ hit 23 dolls between them. Paul included a 2nd leg 6 in his 12 and Tonys’ 11 also included a 6 to start the 2nd leg. For OM G.Barguss top scored with 12 dolls

Spread Eagle beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 5-1 with leg scores of 14-13, 15-10, 16-16. For The Spread J.Simmons 13, J.Bowler & G.Brown 9 each & M.Phillips 8. In reply for Utd. ‘A’ P.Wright 11, D.Davies 9 & B.Duff 8.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat College Oak 6-0 whose total of 18 dolls was the lowest of any team this season. The leg scores were 9-5, 12-8, 14-5. For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 9, K.Souch 8 & H.Harris 7. For The Oak J.Knight top scored with 9 dolls – half of the teams total. C.Bishop throwing like a caber tossing Scotsman (admit it, you’re making your own up now) failed to score any dolls at all.
