Old Masters beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-10, 14-15, 13-7. For OM M.Hall 10, A.Woolloff 9 & G.Barguss 8. T.Downes thinking OM were on at 8-15 turned up late and was not able to play, but it was not a total disaster as the next match report will point out. In reply for Ab. Utd. ‘C’ A.Gregory 10 & D.Harris 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 4-2 with leg scores of 12-16, 19-15, 14-11. For Utd. ‘B’ T.Downes (guesting) included a 6 in his 13 dolls, D.Holmes 10, D.Davies 9 & B.Clapton 7. For Utd. ‘A’ J.Gapper 10, B.Duff 9, L.Clapton & B.Spicer 8 each and P.Wright 7.

Ab. Legion beat Spread Eagle 4-2 with leg scores of 7-13, 16-14, 9-8. For The Legion N.Hazell 10, D.Sapey 8 & B.Lacey 7. For The Spread B.Newman, J.Bowler & M.Chadwick (guesting) 8 each & C.Smith (guesting) 7.

Ab. Con. Club beat Penlon 4-2 with leg scores of 8-9, 9-6, 13-9. T.Barrett top scored for Con. Club with 9 dolls. For Penlon M.Jeffries got 7. If either of you need another player next season Stevie Wonder is looking for a game.

The Fox beat College Oak 5-1 with leg scores of 14-14, 18-13, 16-11. For The Fox B.Parker included a 6 in his 13, N.Weston 12, D.Butler 10 & M.Rusher 8. For The Oak P.Soden 12, A.Pocock 10 & S.Enock 8. F.Tracey could not make it after dentists appointment earlier in the day where I think he had a wisdom tooth ‘put in’.

Old Masters struggled to a 5-1 win over Spread Eagle to maintain a healthy lead at the top. The leg scores were 11-11, 15-9, 15-13. For OM G.Barguss 13, M.Hall & J.Barguss 8 each & A.Woolloff 7. For The Spread B.Duff (guesting) 9, B.Newman 8 & J.Bowler 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘C’ beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 14-6, 14-12, 13-12. For Utd. ‘C’ S.Martin 11, K.Souch 9, D.Harris 8 & A.Gregory 7. For Penlon T.Lach 9, E.Jeffries 8 & J.Carter 7. V.Smith hit just 1 doll and I think that was a dodgy call.

In a closer game than the scoreline suggests Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Ab.Legion 6-0. The leg scores were 14-11, 12-11, 13-12. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Holmes 10, D.Davies & I.Morrison 8 each & B.Clapton 7. For The Legion P.Ealey 11, D.Sapey 8 & B.Lacey 7.

In a turn up for the books Ab. Con. Club inflicted the first 6-0 defeat of the season on College Oak. The leg scores were 13-8, 11-10, 12-11. For The Con. Club J.Simms 10 (his first double figures of the season), T.Barrett 8, J.Castle & R.North 7 each. For The Oak D.Cross top scored with 9 dolls. Oaks 29 dolls was their lowest total of the season so far.

Spread Eagle beat The Fox (thanks guys) 4-2 with leg scores of 13-10, 12-10, 13-15. For The Spread J.Bowler 11 & ‘Gary’ ? Mott 10. For The Fox M.Sheridan (double figures in all 9 matches) 11, D.Butler 9 & M.Rusher 7. Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat 4 man Fox 6-0 with leg scores of 14-10, 14-11, 18-15. For Utd. ‘B’ I.Morrison 12, B.Clapton 10, D.Holmes& D.Davies 9 each. For The Fox the evergreen M.Sheridan top scored with 13 dolls. D.Butler hit 10 & B.Parker 9. Utd. ‘B’s 46 dolls was their highest total of the season.

Spread Eagle beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 16-11, 15-3 (yes three), 18-10. For The Spread J.Bowler 12, M.Phillips 11, D.Mott 10, B.Newman & S.Kinnaird 8 each. For Penlon Vic ‘I don’t want to play , I’ve got a bad back’ Smith top scored with 7 dolls. What a trooper !! The Spreads 49 dolls was their highest total of the season while Penlons 24 was their lowest.

Old Masters beat a spirited Ab.Legion 6-0 with leg scores of 14-12, 17-14, 15-10. For OM A.Woolloff 13, G.Barguss & T.Downes 12 each & J.Barguss 7. J.Lesiakowski started badly and then fell away and managed just 2 dolls. In reply for The Legion N.Hazell & D.Sapey 8 each, B.Lacey & D.Taylor 7 each.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ drew 3-3 with Ab. Con. Club with leg scores of 13-11, 14-14, 8-17. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Holmes 10, D.Davies 8 (despite a 2nd leg blob), B.Clapton & I.Morrison 7 each. M.Davies managed just 3 dolls and I have got to say Matt that interfereing with farm animals is just not on. For Con. Club T.Barrett 11, M.Haynes 9, R.North 8, J.Castle & M.Chadwick 7 each – a good all-round performance. Con. Clubs 42 dolls was their highest total of the season.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Spread Eagle 6-0 with leg scores of 12-8, 18-10, 18-14. For Utd. ‘A’ L.Clapton & G.Brown 11 each, J.Gapper & T.Ward 9 each & P.Wright 8 – another good performance from all 5 players. For The Spread S.Kinnaird & J.Driver 7 each.

The Fox beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 15-14, 14-10, 13-15. For The Fox D.Butler 10, N.Nuttall 9, B.Spicer (guesting) & N.Weston 8 each & a disgruntled B.Parker 7. Throwing like an Italian down hill skier on speed P.Arnold top scored for Utd. ‘C’ with 11 dolls (his first double figures of the season). S.Martin & D.Harris 10 each. Dave needing 4 to win the last leg clanged off 5 dolls.

College Oak inflicted the 8th 6-0 defeat of the season on The Penlon. The leg scores were 12-5, 15-12, 9-8. For The Oak P.Soden 10 & D.Cross 9.. For The Penlon V.Smith top scored with 7. Penlons 25 dolls equalled their lowest total of the season..

A cracking game saw Old Masters come from behind to beat The Fox 4-2 with leg scores of 11-20, 21-16, 16-14. For OM G.Bargus included a 6 in his 13 dolls, T.Downes & J.Barguss 11 each & A.Woolloff 10. For The Fox M.Sheridan 13, D.Butler 11, M.Rusher & N.Weston 9 each & B.Parker 8. After setting the first 2 legs OM captain G.Barguss put The Fox in for the 3rd leg. What a good decision that turned out to be.

Ab. Legion beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 11-7, 10-8, 14-12. For The Legion P.Ealey 10, D.Taylor, R.Taylor & D.Sapey 7 each. For Penlon J.Carter, E.Jeffries, D.Bond & M.Jeffries all scored 6 each. Don’t normally give a mention to anyone scoring under 7 but they are good group of ‘old boys’ so thought I would.

Old Masters beat Ab. Con. Club 6-0 with leg scores of 13-11, 14-12, 16-11. For OM G.Barguss 12, M.Hall & A.Woolloff 9 each & J.Barguss 8. In reply for Con. Club J.Castle hit a cracking 13 dolls but the rest were c**p. The next league game for OM is against The Fox – should be an interesting start to the new year.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 4-2 with leg scores of 18-11, 13-14, 14-7. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Davies 12, D.Holmes 11 (his first double figures of the season), B.Clapton 10 & I.Morrison 8. For Penlon T.Lach 11 & M.Jeffries 8. Both teams recorded their highest totals of the season.

The Fox beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 6-0 (b******s) with leg scores of 13-12, 16-10, 14-11. For The Fox M.Sheridan 11, B.Parker 10, M.Rusher 8, D.Butler & N.Weston 7 each. For Utd. ‘A’ L.Clapton 9 & G.Brown 8. B.Parker needing just 2 to win the 1st leg got the winner with his last stick. Utd. ‘A’s 33 dolls was their lowest total of the season.

College Oak beat Ab. Legion 5-1 with leg scores of 14-9, 12-9, 9-9. For The Oak S.Enock 12, P.Soden & D.Cross 8 each. For The Legion R.Taylor top scored with 10 dolls. The last time he hit double figures Red Rum had just won the Grand National. D.Sapey hit 9 .B.Lacey throwing like a Russian pole-vaulter suffering with a hernia managed just 2 dolls. The Oaks 35 dolls was their lowest total of the season.

In a game that started very late (sorry) Spread Eagle beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-11, 12-11, 14-14. Cracking game. For The Spread J.Bowler 11, C.Crawford & J.Driver 8 each & B.Newman 7. For Utd. ‘C’ S.Martin 10 & A.Gregory 8. It was handy that these 2 teams were on last as we can never get them out anyway.

Ab. Con. Club beat Penlon 6-0 thus doubling their points total for the season. The leg scores were 12-10, 13-10, 12-7. For Con. Club T.Barrett 11, M.Haynes 8 & J.Sims 7. For Penlon V.Smith top scored with 8 dolls. J.Carter managed just 1 doll. Why don’t you try standing with your back to the doll and chucking the sticks between your legs Jamie.
