The Heathens beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0 with leg scores of 14-11, 16-12, 14-12.  For The Heathens A.Woolloff 12, J.Ellaway 10, D.Holmes 9 & P.Soden 7.  In reply for Utd. ‘B’ D.Harris 12 & S.Martin 11.

The Fox failed to win for the first time this season after a 3-3 draw with Ab. Legion.  The leg scores were 19-12, 14-14, 12-14.  For The Fox B.Parker 12, D.Cross 10, D.Butler included a 6 in his 9 & A.Bell 8.  For The Legion B.Lacey 10 ( his first double figures of the season ), C.Brind 9, D.Sapey 8 & D.Taylor 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Con. Club 6-0 with leg scores of 14-8, 15-10, 13-9.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies & B.Duff 11 each, with ‘Duffy’ including a 6 in his, L.Clapton 8 & K.Fisher 7.  For Con. Club T.Barrett 10 & M.Dawson 7.  Con. Clubs 27 dolls was their lowest total of the season.

Old Masters beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 5-1 with leg scores of 12-7, 12-12, 15-10.  For OM The ‘Barguss Boys’ 10 each & A.Pocock 7.  In reply for Utd. ‘C’ M.James 9 & Jono Warrells’ 8 included a cracking 5 to draw the 2^nd leg.

Spread Eagle beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 18-6, 18-9, 15-7.  For The Spread J.Simmons hit a blinding 6-5-4, G.Brown 11, S.Kinnaird & M.Phillips 10 each.  For Penlon T.Lach 9 & I.Morrison 7.  R.Holmes throwing like a left handed policeman managed just 1 doll. Keep at it Rog.

Old Masters beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2 with leg scores of 12-14. 17-8, 16-10.  For OM G.Barguss 13, A.Pocock 9, J.Lesiakowski & J.Barguss 8 each & M.Hall 7.  In reply for Con. Club T.Barrett top scored with 10.  Con. Clubs’ 32 dolls was their lowest total so far.

The Heathens recorded their first 4-2 win of the season.  It was against Ab. Utd. ‘C’ and the leg scores were 13-3 (yes three), 15-9, 9-10.  A.Woolloff  included a 6 in his 11, P.Soden also recorded a 6 in his 10 and J.Ellaway 7.  For Utd. ‘C’ Jim Warrell top scored with 7.  Jono Warrell,  playing to the gallery, needing 2 to win the 3^rd leg left it to his last 2 sticks.  M.James managed just 1 doll, though to be fair he did miss the 1^st leg.

Ab. Legion drew 3-3 with Ab. Utd. ‘B’ with leg scores of  6-7, 15-10, 10-10.  For The Legion C.Brind top scored with 8 & P.Ealey 7.  In reply for Utd. ‘B’ K.Souch 8 & S.Martin 7.  C.Brind & D.Sapey needing 2 between them to win the 1^st leg both managed to blob.  It’s a funny old game.

Spread Eagle beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 5-1 with leg scores of 16-14, 15-13, 15-15.  For The Spread G.Brown 13, J.Simmons & J.Bowler 10 each & M.Phillips 7.  For Utd. ‘A’ L.Clapton 13, D.Davies & B.Duff 9 each & K.Fisher 8.

The Fox extended their lead at the top after beating Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0.  The leg scores were 14-8, 14-11, 14-10.  For The Fox D.Cross 11, A.Bell 10 & Barker 9.  In reply for Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10 & A.Gregory 8.  Norma Green had the dreaded XXX.

Ab. Legion beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of  9-6, 8-6, 14-9.  For The Legion C.Brind 10, D.Taylor & D.Sapey 7 each.  For Utd. ‘C’…er….er…..er…….still trying to think of something to say.

Ab. Con. Club beat The Heathens 6-0 who now have the highest total of dolls against.  The leg scores were14-11,16-9,15-9.  For The Con. Club T.Barrett & M.Dawson both included 6’s in their 11 dolls, P.Barrett 9 & M.Haynes 8.  B.Clapton was the ‘weakest link’.  For The Heathens P.Soden 10 & D.Holmes 9.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 12-11, 15-8, 18-10.  For Utd. ‘A’ K.Fisher 13, D.Davies 10, B.Duff  9 & L.Clapton 7.  In reply for Penlon T.Lach top scored with 13.

Spread Eagle beat Old Masters 4-2 with leg scores of 18-16, 14-17, 20-14.  For The Spread G.Brown hit a cracking 14 dolls, J.Simmons 12, J.Bowler 10, S.Kinnaird & M.Phillips 8 each.  For OM A.Pocock 13, J.Barguss 12, G.Barguss included a 6 in his 10 & M.Hall 7.  OM hit 40 dolls for the first time this season.

Ab. Legion beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2 with leg scores of 12-7, 17-13, 12-16.  For The Legion C.Brind 11, D.Sapey 9, B.Lacey, P.Ealey & D.Taylor 7 each.  In reply for Con. Club M.Dawson 10, The ‘Barrett Boys’ 8 each & B.Clapton 7.

Ab.Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 4-2 with leg scores of 8-4, 8-8 14-14.  For Utd. ‘B’ A.Gregory & S.Martin 8 each.  For Penlon T.Lach 9 & I.Morrison 8.  E.Jeffries just avoided the dreaded X-X-X by getting 2 dolls in the last leg.

Spread Eagle beat The Heathens 4-2.  The leg scores were 17-8, 12-14, 17-7.  J.Simmons included a 6 in his 12, M.Phillips 10, J.Bowler 9, S.Kinnaird 8 & G.Brown 7. For The Heathens A.Woolloff 9 & D.Holmes 8.

The Fox were lucky not to lose their unbeaten record just managing to beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2.  The leg scores were 15-15, 12-12, 10-9.  For The Fox S.Enock & B.Parker 9 each & A.Bell 8.  For Utd. ‘C’ D.Warrell10 (his 1^st double figures of the season), Jim Warrell 9 & M.Ashmall 8.  Jon Warrell needing just 1 to draw the 3^rd leg managed to blob (t****r).  The Foxs’ 37 dolls was their lowest total of the season while Utd. ‘C’s 36 was their highest.  Great game, great atmosphere, great effort from Utd. ‘C’ and a great end to the night.

The Fox recorded the highest total of any side this season (53) in beating Spread Eagle 6-0.  The leg scores were 14-13, 18-13, 21-16.  For The Fox A.Bell, D.Cross & B.Parker 12 each & D.Fletcher 11.  In reply for The Spread M.Phillips 11, J.Simmons 9 (failing to hit double figures for the first time this season), J.Bowler & G.Brown 8 each.

Ab.Utd. ‘B’ and Ab. Con. Club played out the first draw of the season.  The leg scores were 12-12, 15-12, 12-14.  For Utd. ‘B’ A.Gregory 10, S.Martin, N.Green & D.Harris 8 each.  For The Con. Club M.Dawson 11, P.Barrett 10 & T.Barrett 8.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ & Ab. Legion gave us our 2^nd 3-3 of the night.  The leg scores were 11-9, 13-14, 15-15.  For Utd ‘A’ B.Duff 12, P.Wright 9, N.Nuttall included a 6 and a blob in his 8 & L.Clapton hit 7.  For The Legion C.Brind 9, D.Taylor & D.Sapey 8 each & P.Ealey 7.

Ab. Utd. ‘C’ equalled their highest total of the season (27) and more than doubled their points total for the season after a 4-2 win over Penlon.  More amazingly M.Ashmall got no blobs.  The leg scores were 7-6, 9-7, 11-15.  For Utd. ‘C’ Jim Warrell top scored with 7.  For Penlon (who actually scored more dolls than Utd. ‘C’) I.Morrison 9, T.Lach & R.Holmes 7 each.  M.Jeffries throwing like a Romanian immigrant managed just 2 dolls.

The Old Masters beat The Heathens 5-1 and condemned them to bottom spot.  The leg scores were 10-10, 14-8, 14-8.  For OM J.Lesa…J.Lessi… Jason top scored with 10 dolls (his 1^st double figures of the season), A.Pocock 9, M.Hall 8 & G.Barguss 7.  For The Heathens M.Ellaway 8 & A.Woolloff 7.  The Heathens 28 dolls was their lowest total so far this season.

 Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 5-1 with leg scores of 13-3 (yes 3), 9-9, 15-5.  For Utd. ‘B’ A.Gregory 10, S.Martin 9 & K.Souch 8.  For ‘The Wassailers’ nobody scored very many and everybody scored very few.

Old Masters recorded their first 6-0 win of the season.  Their victims were Penlon and the leg scores were 12-7, 12-8, 15-5.  For OM J.Barguss included a 6 in his 13 & G.Barguss 10.  In reply for Penlon…..well, there was no reply.  Penlons 20 dolls was their lowest of the season.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat The Heathens 4-2 with leg scores 19-10, 11-14, 16-10.  For Utd. ‘A’ K.Fisher 11, L.Clapton 10, N.Nuttall 9, D.Davies & B.Duff 8 each.  For The Heathens A.Woolloff included a 6 in his 12, P.Soden 9 & D.Holmes 8.  At least we got away from the 6-0’s.

Spread Eagle beat Ab. Legion 4-2 with leg scores of 13-14, 15-11, 15-9.  For The Spread J.Simmons 12, M.Phillips 10 & D.Mott 9.  In reply for The Legion C.Brind 12, B.Lacey 9 & D.Sapey 7.

The Fox recorded their 9^th straight win of the season over Ab. Con. Club.  The score was 5-1 and the leg scores were 18-8, 17-15, 15-15.  For The Fox A.Bell12, B.Parker 11, D.Fletcher 10, D.Butler 9 & D.Cross 8.  For The Con. Club B.Clapton 10, T.Barrett & M.Dawson 9 each.

We are half way through the season and we have had no drawn games.  Can The Fox go all season unbeaten ? and win the league for the first time since 1997-98 – the only time they have won it.

A closer game than the 6-0 score suggests saw Ab. Legion beat Old Masters with leg scores of 10-9, 15-14, 15-14.  For The Legion C.Brind 11, R.Taylor 8, P.Ealey, N.Hazell & D.Sapey 7 each.  In reply for OM D.Coles, G.Barguss & J.Barguss all scored 9.

The Fox beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 6-0 with leg scores of 14-12, 15-12, 18-16.  For The Fox B.Parker 11, D.Butler & D.Fletcher 10 each, A.Bell 9 & S.Enock 7.  For Utd. ‘A’ K.Fisher & L.Clapton 10 each & D.Davies 8.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ pulled off a surprise (no disrepect intended) 4-2 win over leaders Spread Eagle.  The leg scores were 12-8, 11-9, 9-17.  For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10 & D.Harris 9.  For The Spread J.Simmons 11 (hitting a 5 in the 3^rd leg to ensure he hit either 11 or 12 in every game) & M.Phillips hit 8.  The Spreads total was their lowest of the season and saw them drop to 2^nd place.

Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 15-6. 9-6, 12-11.  For Con. Club T.Barrett included a 6 in his 13, M.Dawson & P.Barrett 7 each.  For Utd. ‘C’ M.Ashmall top scored (never thought I’d be printing that) with 6 dolls.  Well done Matt.

Penlons’ highest total of the seaon (36) saw them practically double their points tally after beating 4 man Heathens 6-0.  For Penlon I.Morrison 10, T.Lach 9 & ‘The Jeffries Boys’ scored 7 each.  Well done lads.  In reply for The Heathens J.Ellaway 9 & A.Woolloff 8.

Ab. Con. Club recorded their highest total of the season (50) to gain their 1^st 6-0 win.  Their victims were Penlon and for them it was a 4^th 6-0 defeat on the trot.  The leg scores were 17-10, 17-9, 16-6.  For Con. Club P.Barrett & Brian ‘88’ Clapton each scored 13, T.Barrett 10, R.North & M.Dawson 7 each.  For Penlon T.Lach top scored with 10 – his 1^st double figures of the season.  T.Phipps managed just 1 doll.  Have you tried standing with your back towards the doll and throwing them between your legs mate – might be worth a try.

Spread Eagle recorded their 6^th 6-0 win on the trot in beating Ab. Utd. ‘C’.  The leg scores were 15-8, 17-9, 12-10.  For The Spread John ‘Mr. Consistant’ Simmons hit 12, D.Mott 10, J.Bowler & M.Phillips 9 each.  In reply for Utd. ‘C’ Jim Warrell top scored with 11 – his 1^st double figures of the season. Utd. ‘C’s 27 dolls was also their highest.

The Fox despite recording their lowest total of the season (34) was enough to overcome Old Masters 4-2.  It was also their 7^th straight win.  The leg scores were 16-13, 9-14, 9-7.  For The Fox S.Enock 10, D.Cross & B.Parker 8 each.  For OM J.Barguss 10, A.Pocock 9 & M.Neal 7

4 man Heathens had a surprise 6-0 win over Ab. Legion to keep the 6-0 theme going.  The leg scores were 13-11, 12-9, 13-8.  For The Heathens P.Soden 11, A.Woolloff 10, J.Ellaway 9 & T.Downes 8.  For The Legion C.Brind 10 & N.Hazell 7.  The below par Legion recorded their lowest total of the season (28) – good timing lads.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0 with leg scores of 17-14, 13-8, 13-11.  For Utd. ‘A’ K.Fisher 10, P.Wright & B.Duff 9 each, N.Nuttall 8 & D.Davies 7.  In reply for Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10, ‘Team Harris’ shared 16 dolls equally – that’s 8 each for those of you with the ‘learning difficulties’.
