College Oak came from behind to beat Ab. Legion 4-2 with leg scores of 10-12, 17-16, 17-10. For The Oak D.Cross & L.Clapton 11 each, P.Soden 9 & C.Crawford 7. For The Legion N.Tait 11, P.Ealey 9 & C.Brind 8.
The Fox beat Ab. Utd. ‘A’ 6-0 with leg scores of 13-9, 16-9, 11-6. For The Fox B.Parker top scored with 13 despite being under a certain amount of pressure, D.Butler 12 & N.Weston 8. The Foxs’ 40 dolls was their lowest of the season. For Utd. ‘A’ R.Pepperell 8 & Jim Warrell 7. M.Ashmall throwing like a knock knee’d
Australian sheep shearer managed just 1 doll. Matt there is a Wednesday night crib league. Just a thought.
Despite recording their lowest total of the season Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat a lacklustre Old Masters 4-2. The leg scores were 12-17, 11-10, 15-6 (yes six). For Utd, ‘B’ D.Davies 10, D.Holmes & D.Bowler 8 each. For OM G.Barguss 9 & T.Downes 8. OM scored more dolls in their 1st leg than the other 2 put together.
Spread Eagle beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 12-7, 15-8, 17-10. For The Spread J.Simmons 11, S.Kinnaird 10, G.Brown 9 & M.Phillips 8. For Penlon T.Lach top scored with 7 dolls. Their 25 dolls was their lowest of the season.
Ab. Con. Club overtook The Legion at the top of ‘B’ section after a 6-0 win over Ab. Utd. ‘C’. The leg scores were 11-8, 12-10, 13-8. For Con. Club P.Wiblin 11, T.Barrett 9 & R.North 7. For Utd. ‘C’ A.Gregory 8 & S.Martin 7.
