Old Masters inflicted a 5th straight 6-0 defeat on Penlon with leg scores of 14-7, 13-9, 16-14. For OM G.Barguss & A.Woolloff 12 each, J.Barguss 8 & T.Downes 7. In reply for Penlon M.Jeffries recorded his first ever 6 in his 9 dolls & V.Smith 7
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 16-14, 13-16, 17-10. For Utd. ‘A’ G.Brown 13, P.Wright (making his 1st appearance of the season) 11, B.Spicer 9 & L.Claptons’ total of 7 included a blob. For Utd. ‘C’ A.Gregory included a 6 in his 13, S.Martin 8, D. & H.Harris 7 each.
College Oak beat Ab. Con. Club 5-1 with leg scores of 12-12, 13-12, 11-8. For The Oak D.Cross 10, A.Pocock 8 & S.Enock 7. For Con. Club J.Sims & T.Barrett 9 each. The Oaks 36 dolls was their lowest total of the season while Con. Clubs 32 was their highest.
The Fox beat Spread Eagle 4-2 thus dropping their 1st points of the season. The leg scores were 17-8, 12-15, 17-10. For The Fox D.Butler & M.Rusher (also making his 1st appearance) 10 each, N.Nuttall & N.Weston 9 each & B.Parker 8. For The Spread D.Mott 9, J.Bowler 8 B.Newman 7.
Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Ab. Legion 5-1 with leg scores of 13-11, 16-7, 12-12. For Utd. ‘B’ I.Morrison 12, D.Davies 11 & D.Holmes 8. In reply for The Legion P.Ealey 11 & D.Sapey 10. B.Lacey managed just 2 dolls, and in disgust went to throw his sticks on the floor – and missed.
