Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0 with leg scores of 16-14, 16-14, 14-11. For Con Club T.Barrett 10, D.Todd 8, P.Barrett 7, M.Neal & B.Clapton 6 each. In reply for Utd. ‘B’ M.Putt 9, J.Lesiakowski & D.Harris 7 each.
Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 13-10, 16-9, 19-13. For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton included a 6 in his 12, A.Bell 9, S.Snock & I.Brook 7 each and B.Stowell hit 6. In reply for Utd. ‘C’ C.Keeley & M.James each scored 7 dolls. You may have noticed Claire using a box to hold some sticks whilst she was throwing but it is not hers and everyone is welcome to use it. This is my last reference to Claires’ ‘box’.
Ab.Utd. ‘A’ beat 4 man Penlon 6-0 with Penlon equalling their lowest total of the season (30). The leg scores were 13-10, 16-9, 15-11. For Utd. ‘A’ B.Parker hit 6-5-4, D.Dix recorded his lowest total of the season (10) and his 1 in the first leg was rarer than rocking horse s**t or a 6 from Brian Clapton. K.Fisher 7, P.Soden & D.Davies 6 each. For Penlon P.Wright 8 and I.Morrison 6.
The Heathens came from behind to beat The Vine 4-2 with leg scores of 15-16, 16-15, 19-15. For The Heathens P.Adams hit 5-4-6, B.Townsend 11, D.Holmes & P.Longford 9 each and A.Woolloff hit 6 – just. For The Vine J.Hamilton 9, D.Hamilton & J.Pownceby 8 each, M.Dingle & R.Harrison 6 each.
Spread Eagle ‘A’ also had to come from behind to beat Ab. Legion 4-2. The leg scores were 12-13, 14-7, 17-13. For The Spread B.Newman 10, S.Humphries 8, J.Gapper & J.Bowler 7 each. For The Legion N.Hazell 8, C.Brind 7 & S.Champ 6. B.Lacey got 1 in the 3rd leg to avoid the dreaded X X X. He’s not much better at bowls either lol. Oh s**t, I’ve just remembered his team beat us today.

p.s. Paul Stone in my absence made four mistakes in week 4 regarding doll totals and robbed The Vine of 2 points, but I’m sure the fact that he plays for Penlon had nothing to do with it hahaha. It has been corrected now .
p.p.s. if it wasn’t for the pesky online scoring system (which was correct btw) we might have never known about the error. And to prove it’s all fair in love and scoring Tosh missed out Paul Wright from the Top Dolls last week. (- Paul)
