The Heathens beat Ab. Con. Club 6-0 with leg scores of 15-11, 16-13, 18-14.  For The Heathens A.Woolloff 13, D.Holmes & J.Ellaway 10 each, P.Soden 9 & T.Downes 7.  In reply for Con. Club B.Clapton 11 & The ‘Barrett Boys’ 10 each.

 

Ab.Utd. ‘A’ recorded their 3rd 4-2 win on the trot.  The victims were Penlon and the leg scores were 10-11, 13-12, 12-4.  For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies 10, B.Duff & L.Clapton 8 each.  For Penlon T.Lach & E.Jeffries each scored 7 dolls, although Eddie blotted his copybook with a 3rd leg blob after a 5 in the 2nd.  Terry ‘Polyfilla’ Phipps although bouncing a few off the ceiling (again) did record 6 dolls.

 

Ab. Legion beat Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 16-5, 12-9, 15-8.  For The Legion C.Brind (making his 1st appearance of the season) 11, D.Taylor & D.Sapey 9 each, B.Lacey & P.Ealey 7 each.  For ‘The Muckspreaders’ Jon Warrell top scored with 9 dolls.  D.Warrell throwing like a Peruvian brothel keeper managed just 1 doll.

 

The Fox beat Ab.Utd. ‘B’ with leg scores of 15-5, 15-10, 18-8.  For The Fox B.Parker 13, D.Cross (also making his 1st appearance) 10, D.Fletcher 9, A.Bell & S.Enock 8 each.  For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin top scored with 7 dolls.

 

Spread Eagle beat Old Masters 6-0 with leg scores of 15-11, 18-14, 16-7.  For The Spread M.Phillips included a 6 in his 13, J.Simmons 11, D.Mott 10, J.Bowler 8 & S.Kinnaird 7.  For OM G.Barguss top scored with 13 dolls.  OM’s opening 3 games were against The Heathens, Ab.Utd. ‘A’ and Spread Eagle – horrendous run of fixtures for them and I would just like to add that it was nothing personal lads.

Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 6-0 with leg scores of 10-6, 11-6, 15-10.  For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 10, A.Gregory 8 & D.Harris 7.  In reply for Penlon I.Morrison top scored with 10.  T.Phipps hit the ceiling more times than he hit the doll which was just once.

 

Spread Eagle beat The Heathens 6-0 with leg scores of 16-15, 18-10, 18-13.  For The Spread J.Simmons, D.Mott & M.Phillips 12 each & J.Bowler 10.  For The Heathens D.Holmes 10, J.Ellaway & A.Woolloff 9 each.

 

The Fox went top of the league after beating Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0.  The leg scores were 15-2 (yes 2), 18-7, 16-8.  For The Fox A.Bell 12, S.Enock & B.Parker 11 each although Barrys’ did include a slighty dodgy 6 in his & D.Fletcher 10.  Utd. ‘C’ couldn’t record a point or C.R.A.P. for short. S***, just remembered The Heathens score.

 

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Old Masters 4-2 with leg scores of 15-13, 17-13, 10-13, a case of unlucky 13. for OM.  For Utd. ‘A’ B.Duff 11, L.Clapton 10, D.Davies 8 & K.Fisher 7.  For OM J.Barguss 11, G.Barguss & A.Pocock 9 each.

 

Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Legion 5-1 with leg scores of 11-11, 13-11, 16-15.  For Con. Club. M.Dawson 10, T.Barrett 9, P.Barrett 8 & B.Clapton 7.  For The Legion hit a cracking 5-4-5 & C.Brind hit 9

The Heathens and Old Masters kicked off the new season with The Heathens running out 6-0 winners.  The leg scores were 17-8, 13-9, 16-9.  For The Heathens A.Woolloff included a 6 in his 13, P.Soden 9, D.Holmes, J.Ellaway & T.Downes 8 each.  In reply for OM new recruit A.Pocock top scored with 9 dolls.

 

The Fox beat reigning champions Spread Eagle 4-2 with leg scores of 19-13, 17-12, 12-13.  For The Fox D.Butler 12, A.Bell 11, S.Enock 9, new signing D.Fletcher & B.Parker 8 each.  For The Spread J.Simmons 12, M.Phillips 9 & J.Bowler 7.

 

Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-5, 10-15, 13-10.  For Con. Club T.Barrett 10 & M.Dawson (another new face) hit 8. In reply for Utd. ‘B’ A.Gregory S.Martin each scored 8 dolls.

 

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Legion 4-2. The leg scores were 14-6, 18-14, 14-15.  For Utd. ‘A’ P.Wright included a 6 in his 13, D.Davies 12, L.Clapton 8 & B.Duff 7.  For The Legion Roy ‘The Pope’ Taylor 10, D.Sapey 8 (including a 4 to win the 3rd leg) & P.Ealey 7.

 

Penlon beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 5-1 with leg scores of 12-5, 11-8, 8-8.  For Penlon ‘new recruit’ I.Morrison 10 & M.Jeffries 7.  For Utd. ‘C’ R.Pepperell top scored with 7 dolls.
