Entry Date for Team 5’s, 4’s and 3’s Lower Section Pairs (B,C,D,E,F and G sections) Competitions

Just a reminder to ALL teams that the coming weekend is the closing date for all of the above Competitions. Entry Forms should be sent to roger.nichols@hotmail.com or to team support with names and, if appropriate nominated reserves. All players need to be registered players of the team entering.

This season we have arranged all of the team competitions to be played on Wednesday’s our normal night of play so we are hoping that that will encourage more entries to make these team competitions more accessible and encourage more entries.

Remember we require a minimum of 8 entries for each competition to be held and entry remains the same as for at least the last 10 years at just £1 per player!

3,4 and 5s Competitions

The team 3 and 4’s competitions will be held on Wednesday 2nd September and the following Wednesday 9th September will be the Team 5’s. The venue for both competitions will be confirmed early next month.

Lower Section Pairs

The arrangement for the lower section pairs is a little different. Following last year’s successful competition which was exclusively for sections D, E and F (27 entries) we have decided to integrate the B and C section teams as well into one competition as we only had 2 entries from the B and C sections last year and therefore no competition took place for players from those sections. So, this year it’s all inclusive!

The good news is that entry for this competition, closing date next weekend, is still free to all, and in addition to the prestige and a trophy for the winners and runners up there will still be, thanks to our sponsors Thames Cable, a cash prize for both finalists.

This competition will take place on Thursday 13th August at the Harwellian Club, but we reserve the right, subject to the number of entries received, to have a second venue, on the same night, to ensure the competition is completed, at least to the final stage on the night. In the event of 2 venues being reached the winners at each venue, will then play a final on Finals Night on Wednesday 15th September.
