Game reports.

The Fox ‘brushed’ aside College Oak 6-0 with leg scores of 20-13, 18-11, 19-13. The Fox clanged off an amazing 57 dolls thanks to P.Stone who weighed in with 3. M.Sheridan hit an absolutely cracking 5-5-6, M.Rusher & D.Butler 13 each & B.Parker 12. For The Oak A.Pocock included a 6 in his 11 & D.Cross hit 9.

Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 5-1 with leg scores of 14-7, 13-13, 14-10. For Utd. ‘A’ G.Brown & T.Ward 10 each & S.Pugh 9. J.Gapper failed to hit double figures for the first time this season. For Utd. ‘C’ S.Martin 9, K.Souch 8 & A.Gregory 7.

Ab. Con. Club beat Penlon 6-0 to go top of the ‘B’ section. The leg scores were 14-8, 13-9, 14-9. For Con. Club T.Barrett 12, M.Haynes 9, J.Castle 8 & Merv ‘The Swerve’ Chadwick hit 7. V.Smith top scored for Penlon with 9 dolls but the rest were rubbish. T.Lach (who I think threw blindfold) managed just 2 dolls. Con Clubs 41 dolls was their highest total of season so far while Penlons 26 was their lowest.

Old Masters beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-10, 17-12, 11-17. For OM A.Woolloff hit 10 dolls (first time he’s hit double figures this season), M.Hall & J.Barguss 9 each. In reply for Utd. ‘B’ B.Clapton, M.Louch & D.Davies 9 each & P.Milford 8. Sorry Pete, but you’re going to have to change your surname.

Ab. Legion beat Spread Eagle 4-2 with leg scores 7-14, 13-8, 13-11. For The Legion J.Driver 11 & P.Ealey hit 8. For The Spread J.Bowler 10 & N.Tame 8.

It’s the Pairs next week and as you know (if you read my previous notes) we will cease playing at 10 o’clock to draw the XMAS RAFFLE, which will leave some of you not getting a game but I cant do much about that. Sorry. (I’m not really – I couldn’t give a t**s ). Good luck to everyone in the Pairs and the raffle. I’m hoping to make it a memorable night.

Regards

Tosh
