Spread Eagle ‘A’ beat 4 man Old Masters 4-2 with leg scores of 10-8, 14-11, 9-10. For Spread ‘A’ S.Kinnaird & J.Bowler 9 each & S.Humphries 8. B.Newman throwing like an overweight cyclist with piles managed just 1 doll. In reply for OM J.Lesiakowski included a 6 in his 11 dolls (his first double figures of the season), A.Pocock & M.Neal each hit 7 dolls.
Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Ab. Con. Club 5-1 with leg scores of 14-14, 15-8, 16-14. For Spread ‘B’ N.Weston &L.Clapton 10 each, R.Nicholls 9, B.Stowell & S.Enock 8 each. In reply for Con. Club T.Barrett included a 6 in his 14, B.Clapton 8 & P.Barrett 7.
The Heathens’ equal lowest total of the season (35) was just enough to overcome Ab. Legion 4-2. The leg scores were 10-15, 15-11, 10-9. For The Heathens A.Woolloff 9, D.Butler & B.Adams 8 each. For The Legion S.Champ & C.Brind 9 each & D.Sapey 8.
Ab. Utd. ‘B’ beat Penlon 4-2 with leg scores of 11-14, 13-11, 10-8. For Utd. ‘B’ R. & D.Taylor scored 9 each & S.Martin 7. For Penlon T.Lach & D.Bellcourt 10 each & I.Morrison hit 8.
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Utd. ‘C’ 6-0, their third 6-0 defeat on the trot. The leg scores were 14-6, 15-10, 13-10. For Utd. ‘A’ D.Dix 14, D.Davies & B.Parker 9 each. In reply for Utd. ‘C’ Jim Warrell top scored with 8 dolls.
