Game reports.
The Heathens lowest total of the season (30) was just enough to overcome Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 8-6, 11-11, 11-11. For The Heathens A.Woolloff 9 & T.Bell 7. For Utd. ‘C’ D.Warrell 9 & M.James 7. Enough said about that c**p.
Ab. Con. Club beat Ab. Legion 4-2 with leg scores of 10-13, 10-9, 15-13. For Con.Club T.Barrett 11, B.Clapton 8 & M.Haynes 7. In reply for The Legion C.Brind 9 (his 4th 9 on the trot), S,Champ & P.Ealey 7 each.
Spread Eagle ‘B’ beat Spread Eagle ‘A’ 4-2 with leg scores of 11-10, 13-15, 15-11. For Spread ‘B’ N.Weston 10, L.Clapton 9, B.Stowell 8 & R.Nicholls hit 7. In reply for Spread ‘A’ S.Humphries 10, B.Newman (whose piles have greatly improved) 9 & J.Bowler 8.
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ failed to win a game for only the 2nd time this season drawing 3-3 with a spirited Penlon side. The leg scores were 12-16, 14-14, 20-9. For Utd. ‘A’ D.Davies & D.Dix 10 each, K.Fisher & B.Duff 9 each and B.Parker 8. In reply for Penlon T.Lach 11, E.Jeffries 10 (his first double figures of the season), D.Bellcourt & I.Morrison 7 each.
Ab. Utd. ‘B’ recorded their first 6-0 win of the season but it was against a 3 man Old Masters with leg scores of 11-6, 9-8, 12-9 For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 8 & D.Taylor 7. For OM J.Lesiakowski 9, S.Skelly & M.Neal 7 each.
