Game reports.
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 15-11, 17-12, 20-14. For Utd. ‘A’ D.Dix hit 4-5-6, B.Parker 12, D.Davies 10, T.Ward 9 and K.Fisher hit 6. In reply for Utd. ‘C’ Jono Warrell10, C.Keeley 9 and Claire managed just 1 doll for the 2nd week running. Keep calm and carry on lol.
Penlon came from behind to beat Ab. Con. Club 4-2 with leg scores 9-10, 17-15, 16-12. For Penlon P.Wright & I.Morrison 8 each, T.Lach & D.Bellcourt 6 each. For Con. Club T.Barrett 10, P.Barrett 9 and B.Clapton 6. D.Todd throwing like an arthrithic Swiss cheese maker managed just 1 doll.
Ab. Legion beat The Vine, whose 36 dolls equalled their lowest total of the season. The score was 4-2 and the leg scores were 18-10, 16-9, 13-17. For The Legion C.Brind 10, P.Ealey 8 and S.Champ 7. In reply for The Vine J.Pownceby 8 and D.Hamilton 7. The Vines’ 2 points just kept them top of the ‘B’ section.
The Heathens equalled their lowest total of the season (37) and were a little fortunate to earn a 3-3 draw against Spread Eagle ‘A’. The leg scores were 11-19, 12-11, 14-14. For The Heathens B.Townsend & P.Adams 11 each, though Phil did have a slightly dubious 3rd leg 6 and A.Woolloff included ablob in his 6 but hit 4 to take the 2nd leg. For The Spread J.Gapper 10, J.Simmons 8, B.Newman & S.Humphries 7 each and J.Bowler hit 6, but Jason did let The Heathens off the hook in the 3rd leg where he had sticks to secure the win.
Ab. Utd. ‘B’s first win in 9 games came against Spread Eagle ‘B’ with leg scores of 17-11, 13-15, 14-13. For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 11, D.Harris 9 and J.Lesiakowski (try saying that with a mouthful of chips) hit 6. For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton 9, B.Stowell 7, I.Brook and A.Bell 6 each.
