Game reports.
A good game saw The Heathens beat Spread Eagle ‘B’ 4-2 with leg scores of 18-13, 17-16, 14-16. For Heathens D.Holmes & B.Townsend 12 each, P.Longford 11 & T.Downes 10. In reply for Spread ‘B’ the incoming A.Bell & I.Brook each scored 12 dolls, L.Clapton 10 & R.Nicholls 6.
Ab. Con. Club drew 3-3 with Penlon with leg scores of 15-8, 11-12, 10-10. For Con.Club B.Clapton top scored with 12 dolls (no honestly, I haven’t made a mistake. Last time he hit 12, winkle pickers were in fashion). P.Wiblin, M.Neal & P.Barrett all scores 7 dolls. For Penlon T.Lach & P.Wright 7 each & T.Phipps 6.
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ beat a spirited Spread Eagle ‘C’ 6-0 with leg scores of 12-11, 19-14, 12-10. For Utd ‘A’ D.Dix included a 6 in his 14, B.Parker 11 & T.Ward 10. D.Davies throwing like a knock knee’d Russian tight rope walker managed 2 blobs. I laughed that much I nearly got a round in. By the way Dave I hope your scrotal rash has cleared up. For Spread ‘C’ P.Soden 9, B.Robins & S.Soden 6 each.
Ab. Legion beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0 with leg scores of 10-9, 10-8, 16-6. Top scorer for Legion was C.Brind with10 dolls. D.Sapey 9, P.Ealey 8 & S.Champ 6. For Utd. ‘B’ S.Martin 8 & A.Pocock 7.
A close game saw Spread Eagle ‘A’ beat Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 4-2 with leg scores of 13-11, 11-9, 8-9. For The Spread J.Gapper 9, J.Bowler 7 & S.Humphries 6. For Utd. ‘C’ M.Ashmall 8, C.Keeley 7 & D.Warrell 6.

p.s. Collected £169 in comps fees, the lowest in the 11 years I have been keeping records which was disappointing as we actually need the money this season as some p**** overspent last season. Oh s*** that was me, sorry.
