Ab. Utd. ‘C’ took 2 points from Ab. Con. Club who had their 1st win of the season with leg scores of 15-13, 11-18, 13-16. For Utd. ‘C’ D.Harris 8 and S.Martin 7. For Con. Club Brian (come round) Clapton topped with 10, T.Barrett 9, M.Neal and P.Barrett 7 each. Someone tell Brian to try a dog whistle to train his sticks instead of talking to them.
The Heathens withered The Vine 6-0 with leg scores of 15-13, 20-9, 20-15. For The Heathens P.Adams 14, P.Longford 12, D.Butler & D.Holmes 10 each and T.Downes 9. For The Vine D.Hamilton included a 5 in his 9, M.Dingle 8 and J.Pownceby 6.
Ab. Legion landed Spread Eagle ‘A’ another defeat, 4-2 with leg scores of 14-13, 12-15, 16-14. For The Legion N.Hazell 10, C.Brind 8, S.Champ 7 and P.Ealey 6. D.Sapey did turn up for a couple. For The Spread J.Gapper & J.Bowler 10 each and P.Brown 6.
Spread Eagle ‘B’ glided to a 6-0 victory over Ab. Utd. ‘C’ 18-6, 10-8, 13-10. For Spread ‘B’ Nigel ‘I’m back’ Weston 10, S.Enock, R.Nicholls and B.Stowell 7 each. For Utd. ‘C’ T.Harrhy and Jono Warrell after getting 2 blobs managed to score 1 in 3rd leg to avoid XXX.
Penlon posted a first leg victory over Ab . Utd. ‘A’ only to succumb in legs 2 and 3. Leg scores were 14-12, 14-18, 12-21. For Penlon D.Bellcourt 8, T.Lach & I.Morrison 7 and P.Wright 6. T.Phipps had 1 in every leg and one on the ceiling – consitency is key in this game. For Utd. ‘A’ B.Parker 4-5-6 for 15, D.Dix 13 (including a 6), D.Davies 10, T.Ward 7 and K.Fisher 6.
