Game reports.
Spread Eagle ‘B’ who recorded their lowest total of the season (37) drew 3-3 with Spread Eagle ‘A’ who’s 42 dolls equalled their highest total. The leg scores were 15-15, 13-11, 9-16. For Spread ‘B’ L.Clapton 10, I.Brook 9, N.Weston 8 & S.Enock 6. For Spread ‘A’ J.Gapper 12 (his 1st double figures), J.Bowler 10, A.Humphries 9 & S.Humphries hit 7.
Ab. Con. Club’s first win of season almost doubled their points tally in beating Spread Eagle ‘C’ 6-0, who’s 23 dolls equalled their lowest total. The leg scores were 8-6, 12-7, 11-10. For Con. Club P.Barrett 11 (including a 5 to win 3rd leg), D.Todd included a blob in his 9 & B.Clapton hit 7. In reply P.Soden 10 (his 1st double) & B.Robbins 6. A.Webb playing his 1st game hit just one doll but he did manage to hit the doors twice and the mat several times. Don’t worry Alan you will soon get used to the p*** taking.
Ab. Utd. ‘A’ recorded their highest total of the season (53) in beating Ab. Legion 6-0. The Legion after 5 straight wins have now suffered two 6-0 defeats on the trot and tonights total of 34 dolls was their lowest total so far. The leg scores were 16-11, 20-9, 17-14. For Utd. ‘A’ the ‘up and coming’ D.Dix 14, B.Parker included a 6 in his 13, T.Ward 10, D.Davies 9 & B.Duff 7. For The Legion P.Ealey 8, N.Hazell 7, S.Champ & C.Brind 6 each. D.Sapey, who I think was playing blindfold, managed just 1 doll. The caller and sticker-upper for this game was D.Todd & P.Brown a.k.a. ‘The Chuckle Brothers’.
Penlon recorded their 1st 6-0 win and highest total of the season (44) in beating Ab. Utd. ‘C’. The leg scores were 16-9, 14-6, 14-7. For Penlon I.Morrison 12, P.Wright 10 (his first double of season), E.Jeffries 9 & T.Lach 8. In reply for Utd. ‘C’ C.Keeley top scored with 7 dolls.
The Heathens beat Ab. Utd. ‘B’ 6-0 with leg scores of 12-5, 17-4, 12-8. For The Heathens B.Townsend 12, P.Longford 9, D.Butler & D.Holmes 8 each. For Utd. ‘B’ D.Harris top scored with 6 dolls (not sure when his Uncle Rolf is due for release). Kim Scotson playing her first game managed 1 doll – bless her.
