Well I suppose it’s a bit like weed-killer with only the best teams and players going through to the Semi/Final knockout competition games.
The rounds have finished and I thought I’d give you the breakdown of who’s in it to win it !

Special mention to Dave Sapey & Barry Parker in the Captain’s semi last week who with Dave 1 leg up took the second leg not
without a battle with 6-6 then 3 sticks 3-3 then 1-0 in the single stick leg – 10 sticks 10 dolls. Cracking!
In the Secretary’s it’s an all ‘GB’ final with Graham Brind vs Graham Brown.
Abingdon United B  are in the 3s, 4s, 5s and 8s Finals and are currently 6 points clear at the top of the Premier.

H Section Changes – Race Restart!

Due to the fifth team (Black Horse Gozzards Ford) withdrawing from H section the Committee have agreed to a new fixture list prepared by the Secretary that means the remaining 5 teams can play games with each other twice (home/away) for the rest of the season.

In order to be a fair competition for the remaining teams the section/scores will be ZEROED for weeks 1-9 (i.e. the previous weeks) and in effect the season restarts from scratch for the 5 remaining teams.

This new fixture extend into September and only apply to H Section and are:-

The 14 and overs…..

When I was a lad you had to pay full adult bus fare when you were 14 or over – that’s got nothing to do with Aunt Sally except here’s the Abingdon leagues 14+ scores so far!

Any one of these players could get the full house of 18. Let’s hope they do this season !
